Wow! A backhoe driver in Ireland has just discovered a book of Psalms from
800-1000 A.D buried in a bog. Full
story can be found on FoxNews or the BBC.
The thing that really struck me about the find was that the book was found
open to Psalm 83. The first five verses are as follows:
1 O God, do not keep silent;
be not quiet, O God, be not still.
2 See how your enemies are astir,
how your foes rear their heads.
3 With cunning they conspire against your
people;
they plot against those you cherish.
4 "Come," they say, "let us
destroy them as a nation,
that the name of Israel be remembered no
more."
5 With one mind they plot together;
they form an alliance against you-
Considering the conflict in Israel right now, it is very interesting…

First thought-was it really opened to that Psalm-but chances are it was. Very appropriate…very appropriate.

oops! Sorry Leslie – I corrected it. =)
I heard about that on the radio – on K-Love. Yeah, they said it was open to Psalm 83.
